Seamless aluminum tube is a kind of piercing extrusion method. Because seamless aluminum tube has the characteristics of small proportion, easy processing and high mechanical strength, in fact, the requirements for the production process of seamless aluminum tube are relatively strict and fine.
The technical difficulties of big diameter seamless aluminum tube production are as follows:
1. Equipment capacity: extruders that need more extrusion capacity, such as 3600t ~ 7500t extruders.
2. Mold requirements: larger size and higher cost.
3. Tolerance requirements: tolerance control is more difficult.
4. If the thin-walled tube is added, the machining will be more difficult.

Large seamless aluminum tubes are generally formed by hot extrusion, and then after subsequent treatment. The small seamless aluminum tube can be hot extruded or cold stretched, and then after subsequent treatment.

The alumina hydrate produced in the process of seamless aluminum tube production needs continuous extrusion, and it dehydrates violently in the extrusion process to form sand holes. In order to prevent sand holes on seamless aluminum tube, the round aluminum rod for extrusion must not have rolling cracks; It should not be stored in a humid environment. The content of sodium hydroxide in the cleaning solution should be about 30%. The content of aluminum ion in the cleaning solution should be strictly controlled.

The impregnation of seamless aluminum tube is to prepare silane rare earth composite film by impregnation method. A layer of bis - [3 - (triethoxy) silyl propyl] tetrasulfide (btespt) silane film is assembled on the surface of the sample, and then rare earth cerium conversion film is deposited on the film to prepare silane rare earth composite film.

The corrosion resistance of silane rare earth composite film on the surface of seamless aluminum tube was investigated by electrochemical, drop and salt spray experiments.
